Wayne Ranson

Most artist BIO’S are full of embellished and exaggerated comments about how awesome the artist or band is, but I would just like to share my heart with you…….

Regardless of what you read, see or listen to throughout my page, I will be ultimately judged on what really matters…my performances, my reliability, my professionalism, and most of all, my ability to keep it real and entertain.

I have been playing and singing in bands since the age of 14 and I’m still going strong after 50 years and I truly believe that longevity in this business is a far better resume’ than a lot of glossy words.

Come and see me at one of my shows and see first hand what I do!
I am very passionate about my music and what I do and when you choose to use me for your Venue, Function or Special Occasion you will know you have made a great decision!

Wayne is an accomplished vocalist and guitarist with over 50 years experience as a working musician. He has fronted various successful bands over the years that have supported many great Australian acts including Ol’ 55, Skyhooks, ACDC, Screaming Jets, Doug Parkinson, Renee Geyer, Denise Drysdale and many many more.

Throughout his career, Wayne has done various recording session jobs and played in a number of successful Melbourne cover bands including: Regular Boys, Demix and for ten years was Lead Singer-Lead guitarist with top Melbourne blues-rock band ‘L.A. Express’.

For three years he was the Lead Guitarist-Vocalist for the fabulous Gold Coast show band, The Good Rockin’ Daddy’s and was the founding member and front man of Gold Coast Rockabilly band The Jive Cats.

Wayne’s exceptional versatility has led him to lots of exciting work over the years. He was a backing vocalist for award winning Max Pellicano’s “Elvis to the Max” tours during his concerts at the Crown Casino Showroom in Melbourne and having the uncanny ability to sound remarkably like Neil Diamond, he performed the part of the great man in the Australian Joe
Cocker Tribute Show “With a little help from my friends” for over 3 years.

More than just a great musician, Wayne is a genuinely nice guy who always sets out to connect with his audience and make sure everyone goes home happy. He truly loves what he does and has a passion that is evident
every time he takes the stage.
